It probably would be a question better directed to the manufacturer.

"NVIDIA Pascal GPU release date fixed for April 2016" Source: NVIDIA Pascal GPU release date fixed for April 2016

Bad side is it will likely be about $800 at first release.

why would anyone need a $800 VGA card? The most powerful one is GTX 980 ti, priced $600 now.

and I do not comprehend why they make such an expensive hardware. Even a GTX 970 can run any game at ultra settings which I really do not need. I play nba 2k15 and fifa 16 anyway....

Likely no one needs an $800 video card. If you don't want to spend that much, then don't buy it. If enough of your friends do the same, the price will come down.

FPS seems only reason to upgrade...

I cannot answer about upcoming releases, but for my gaming systems, they all have 700 series or less. I do have a 980 ti on a development machine, so I can display 4k, but even that card won't game well on 4k.

Displaying 4k is pretty useless unless you have sufficient real estate to make it worth while. Mine is 50", which is an adequate replacement for 4 24" monitors.

So, unless you have a need to max frames per second on multi-player games, Your 750 ti seems adequate for now.
