Log In Problems

I am currently on this forum through Internet Explorer. My browser of choice is Firefox. When I try to log in to this forum using Firefox, I get an error. What can I do to correct this problem with Firefox?

Error Message:

This problem has affected many people including the moderators.
The IT guys have been made aware of the problem and are working on it.

See.... a reply in stereo.

I never log out and haven't had a problem, could that make a difference? I use Chrome.

I never log out and have no problems either.

The IT guys have made some program changes and the problem should resolve shortly.

It's probably all the damn scripts running in the background.

I have a problem because I once logged into DIY using FaceBook, and now DIY will frequently, and sporadically, disable my Member privileges (like accessing the Quick Links) and I have to get out altogether and come back in anew by re-submitting my User Name and Password.

I'd recommend AGAINST ever logging in using FaceBook.

I had that problem a while back with facebook, seemed to me like it wanted to keep loading stuff on here.

I went into facebook and there is something you can unclick to stop that, don't remember what it was though.

Why would 40 scripts bother anyone? In FF, I block all of them except Internet Brands since they own the site.

I finally had to switch to a different computer in order to log in. I tried NOSCRIPT and it caused no end of troubles on several different sites. How the heck am I supposed to know what scripts to allow and which to block?

I told you what to block as far as this site goes. Block all except internet brands.

If you block all advertising, this board may cease to exist. Not good.

As far as I know... the original problem has been remedied.
If you still have log in problems... let a moderator know.
