broke MicroSd Card

I got a 512GB card cheap from wish. When I got it, it was full of bad sectors and would not read/write properly. I ran chkdsk first then disk part to format in NTFS. While it was formatting I accidentally crashed my computer and had to restart. Now when I insert the card nothing recognizes it is there but I do get a ghosted image of a drive in windows explorer. I have tried Disk Management but it does not see the disk, nor do a few partition programs I have.

More likely, you got an 8GB sd card, painted to say 512GB,
hacked to have a valid 512GB logical directory structure,
The card reports 512GB to Windows, to checkdisk.
When you try to format it, it crashes.

There are a few programs that will check the physical size of the sd card.

Once you know the actual size, Login as admin,
hit Win+X and select "Disk Management".
That should give you a menu to re-partition the card, then reformat the card to the correct size.

Well I got it for free so I am not out anything if it was hacked or faulty. But I would like it to work some if possible.

I will try the programs but aren't they predicated on windows being able to access the card?

I downloaded and ran Fake Flash Test but it does not see the MicroSD. I am trying to get to the part where it can see the drive.

The drive is likely corrupt.

Try this. Start a command prompt and type DISKPART

It'll list all the disks on your system. You should see the 512gb disk with a number next to it.

Type "select disk (number shown)"

Type "clean"

This will clear all the partition data on the drive.

Type "exit" to return to a command prompt.

Now check disk management for the unallocated drive.
