Think I bricked my old smart phone

I have an old Samsung Galaxy S3 smart phone. I was using it as a cam only (using the Alfred app). But I was getting lots of errors and pop-ups through my WiFi network. So I decided to Factor Reset it. Now it won't even power up. It will flash the Samsung name and in the upper right corner it will say "recovery booting", screen goes blank then nothing happens. It's no longer connected to my Mobil 1 account but it does have the SIM card in it. Is it now garbage? All I want is the camera ability and the WiFi to view it remotely.

There appears to be a start up sequence you need to follow.
Use method 2 .... Reset-a-Samsung-Galaxy-S3
