Brother printer offline

I got a new responsibility that includes entering data, printing reports etc.
.
With it comes stuff including a Dell laptop and Brother HL- 2270DW series printer.
Both worked fine in the house where they were.
Now in a different location ( my house ) I got the laptop connected to my WIFI,
but the printer does not work.
Message on my laptop says " printer offline "

How do I get the printer to work?

You have to get the printer connected to your wifi network. What operating system are you using on your laptop?

As Wirepuller mentioned, you need to connect your printer, either to the network (wired or wireless), or directly to the computer using a USB cable. If you want to connect the printer via WiFi, you'll have to consult the printer's owners manual to learn how to do it.

Great little printer. You'll probably have to factory reset it, then set it up on your network. It's currently likely trying to connect to the old home network, which of course doesn't exist.

Check out the manual:

I believe it comes with a setup utility that guides you through network setup etc. You can probably download that utility from brother's web site.

You will need the Brother utility to be installed on the computer.
The easiest way is to use the temporary USB connection method.
You connect the printer by USB to set it up then remove the cable to connect to wi-fi.
