can't send photos from my android phone

I used to be able to quite easily take photos on my android phone and tap the icon, share button, below the photo and email the photo to my family and friends.

All of a sudden, without my doing anything, I don't have that option? The share button, icon, is there and nineteen different options show up under the photo, none of which say email. I get gmail (which I don't use), 3 Facebook icons, (which I seldom use), google+, send to Kindle (why would I send a photo to Kindle?????), add to maps, etc....

I can't believe this is something complicated. I have done absolutely nothing new, added nothing new, changed nothing on my phone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why don't you start by telling us what photo app you are using.

9 times out of 10, the problem is that people can't figure out how to follow the directions posted here.

IMO, pasting a link to photos hosted elsewhere is just as good.

XSleeper, I think his complaint is not that he can't post pics on this forum, but he can't send pics to anybody.

to the OP, Try turning off the phone and/or removing battery. Try a different photo app. Go to the settings and turn off all picture options and then turn off phone, turn back on and reset all photo/pics options.

android

I had the same problem with my Optimus. I was at my aunts and I decided to reset my phone to see if that would fix the problem. It did but I had no idea why. Today I was having the problem again and I finally realised why it work after resetting my phone. While at my aunts I connected to her wifi and turned off my data but after I reset my phone I left my data on. The problem for me was if I didn't have my data on I couldnt send or receive pictures. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR DATA ON!

>>This is a quote I found regarding the issue.

Don't recall the names of the programs off the top of my head but I get prompted for which of two programs I want to use to open the photos (since I never choose one permanently). Maybe trying the other one will restore the functionality.
