Radio Shack? in or out of business

Obviously there are no brick and mortar stores, but I thought they were actually out of business. Yet if I do a Google search, they still show up as being located all over the place. But I see they still have an Internet business going. Or do they?

I need to buy a few simple items (a SPDT switch with roller and piezo buzzer). The web site accepts my order or shows items in the cart. Do I pull the trigger and buy the items (with $5.00 shipping charge that's cost more than the items) and hope it don't get ripped off or look else where? The switch is sized for particular enclosure, so that is why I want this particular unit. But I suppose I could do an E-bay or Amazon to find similar.

Do I have a question? I thought I did!

OK, are they still a viable company and just do Internet sales?

A number of years ago Radio Shack turned from a hobbyist's store to somewhere your mom might go to get a telephone or cell phone. I think it may have been around the time of a Chapter 11, but I don't really recall.

I haven't bought anything from Radio Shack in years. I always turn to DigiKey these days or Mouser Electronics.

Looks like they're still poking around under different ownership.

Well I did some Amazon checking and can buy multiple switches and buzzers for nearly the same price and only be short $10 for free shipping. So I'll throw those items into my wish list and wait till I need another item. I'm in no rush.

We still have a brick and mortar Radio Shack in my town. Not sure how it's still alive though, because i never see anyone going in.

In my area Radio Shack seems to be a store within a store. There are a few HobbyTown stores that sell Radio Shack branded items in a section of the store. The parts are in a rack of drawers much like the actual Radio Shack stores used to use for the small parts.
