Battery issues including "255% available (plugged in)
I have a Dell Inspiron 3000 with battery issues. In the past week, I've gone through 3 batteries that deplete to 0% but don't recharge. With the battery out, the computer reads "255% available (plugged in)". Dell Power Management Lite recognizes the battery and shows battery health as excellent. To me, this means the problem is not the issue.
I've reinstalled drivers, changed power settings, and calibrated the battery all of which didn't fix the problem.
How can I get the computer to charge the battery?

I assume you mean the battery is not the issue. I agree. It's either the AC Adapter that's the problem, or the charging circuitry on the laptop's motherboard. If you have access to another AC adapter (I always keep a spare on hand), try that, although I have the feeling the problem is likely the charging circuitry.
