Samsung notebook password help

I seldom use my Samsung notebook...xe520qab. I believe when I first used it I didn't need a sign in password when I opened my notebook. Later I added a password that popped up on the plain homepage. About a week ago I somehow got into a different sign on screen which I think is my Google...gmail account? I signed into gmail and now have to sign in to gmail every time I open my notebook in order to access chrome.

What I'd like is to NOT have to use any password when I open my notebook. I don't need the security. I find it a pain in the tush.

Can I delete, or remove, the need for signing in? If so how?

I suspect that Windows is set to require a password when waking up from sleep (what happens when you open the cover). To change that, go to Settings/Accounts/Sign-In Options. You'll see a setting named "Require Sign-in". Select "Never" from the dropdown menu.

Of course the same day I posted here, some how, for some (ineffable to me) reason, something I did on my own made it stop asking for any passwords. Thanks for your help.
