What you call a problem Microsoft calls a "FEATURE."
The setting your looking for is called autocomplete or inline autocomplete. In Internet Explorer it is found under "Tools" then "Internet Options" once there click on the "Advanced" Tab. From there on its happing hunting for the right checkbox.
In Outlook or Outlook Express got to "Tools" then "Options" then click on the send tab. The boxes you want to uncheck are on that page.

hvac4u, The box mrhoadar sent you to should disable AutoComplete, but may require a reboot to take make changes. Check here also...Internet Options, Content tab, under Personal Information choose AutoComplete. Set this box up as you would like and clear forms while here also. If this doesn't get it post back....You could have some kind of corruption going on....Mike
