CD rewriter data disk

I am using a cd just for one folder that I have to update once a week.
When I try to update it in the same way I would with a floppy disk..It doesnt work!! How do I do this task? (I can replicate the folder with the updates)
Also, the folder is about 10 mb but the disk shows that it has 90 odd mb on it.
I have deleted files in the past, and now im wondering if the memory from the deleted files are still on the disk ,thus it shows 90mb. cheers.

Just a thought here. Friend has a dental clinic which backs up to CD-RW daily. Never fails that around the 3 month mark on the same disk he begins to get disk full messages although he only adds changed data to it and it is not full. He burns the data to a new one and is good to go for a while. We have both been attempting to find out if others encounter this anomoly also but this is the first thing I have heard of that sounds like it. If you could burn the data to a new disk and go from there it may help. I hope so....Good Luck....Mike
