I use hotmail as my e-mail and I sent some messages to the trash can and emptied it. I also sent some documents to the recycle bin in windows and emptied that also. Someone told me that it is possible to retrieve these items. Is this possible and if so could someone out there tell me how to do it?
Thanks
Bill

50/50 Answer.

Chances are you will never be able to recover your email that you deleted as it is stored in an index'ed database and once it's gone, it's gone. You should be able to recover the deleted files but you would have to use a third party program do it. I personally use Norton Unerase that comes with the Norton System Works/Norton Utilities package. I do not know if there are any freeware applications that do that, you may want to check out http://www.download.com and search for unerase/undelete. But you will want to do this quickly and without trying to save anything else to your harddrive as the longer you go and the more you save, the lower the chance you have of recovering any files.

Hope this helps.
