820Cse Cartridges? Best way to replace?
What's the deal with replacement cartridges for my 820Cse HP Deskjet?
1) Where's the best place to get cartridges? 53 bucks for them at Office Depot and Staples? Wow
2) Do the refill kits they sell work? Are they worth it?
Any ideas would be great. Thanks,

Don't buy the refill kits, they're a waste of $15. I refilled my HP's cartridge and even though I followed the directions to the letter, all the ink ran right out the bottom. Luckily it wasn't in the printer at the time, the instructions said that the cartride would drip for a short time before it would be ready to use, so I left it over some newspaper. It never stopped dripping.
I'm not sure, but buying cartridges in packs of two or more might be cheaper.

Search
I have a Okidata Oki 4W laser and the toner carts for it are on average $30 US. In my search for a refill type of thing I found out that all inks are not created equal. Certain toners take a certain heat, some ink is thinner than others and in both cases can damage a printer. Do a simple search on Alta Vista etc and find your best deal for your cartridge and buy it. Office Max usualy has some good deals.

No that price is about right, where are you getting yours so cheap and are they brand name or after market? I don't know how many Cannons and HP's I have repaired because someone used an after market cart. and destroyed the print head. Do whatever you want but most printers today require you use their carts etc or void the warranty and believe me I can tell when a wrong cart etc has been used!

Genuine HP
I only use genuine HP. If Joe is talking $53.00 for both than thats about right.
I just looked up my cost from a local supplier. Grant you, I do a lot of business with this guy.
HP 51645A Black Cartdidge $21.99
HP 51641A Color Cartridge $27.99
