windows 98 startup

When I start up Windows 98, I first receive a "Welcome Windows Box" that requires a password or just click on cancel to continue loading Windows.
How can I get rid of this completely?

when the password box comes up, just hit enter. Windows will then know that you are not using a password and the prompt will never come back up. No need to type anything, just hit enter and off ya go.

You failed to mention if you were running a network? Like a cable modem or a peer to peer setup? If you have a NIC card in the machine this prompt will never go away. If you want you can get Tweak UI off your 98 disk in tools on the CD. Do a search for Tweak and I'm pretty sure it shows up. Been awhile since I dealt with 98. XP stinks!
