Can't send email in Outlook Express
I have been using Outlook Express for several years. Now all of a sudden, I can't send email. I get an error sign saying IP name lookup failed>>Relaying denied>> error#OX8OOCCC79. Can some one tell me how to fix this. I like using Outlook Express.

Not sure about the error, but if Win9x you could try temporally swapping C:\system.1st for c:\windows\system.dat. Assuming Outlook was configured at setup, that would id a Registry error.
To do so:
Create C:\Path\New Folder.
C:\WINDOWS> attrib -r -s -h system.da?
C:\WINDOWS> copy system.da? C:\Path\"New Folder"
CD\
C:\>attrib -r -s -h system.1st
C:\>copy system.1st c:\windows\system.dat
C:\>attrib +r +s +h c:\windows\system.dat
Exit
Start >shutdown (hold down the Shift Key).
Try Outlook. Programs installed since then will be unavailable.
If it works: export the registry.
C:\WINDOWS> regedit 'export' from the menu.
Save to target Folder as filename save1.
Then swap back
C:\WINDOWS>attrib -r -s -h system.da?
C:\WINDOWS>del c:\windows\system.da?
C:\WINDOWS>copy C:\Path\"New Folder"\system.da? C:\windows
C:\WINDOWS>attrib +r +s +h system.da?
C:\WINDOWS>regedit 'export'
Save to target folder as save2.
Ferrit the error.
First reg file
C:\WINDOWS> find /i "OUTLOOK" C:\Path\"New Folder\save1.reg>C:\Path\"New Folder\Save1
Second reg file.
C:\WINDOWS> find /i "OUTLOOK" C:\Path\"New Folder\save2.reg>C:\Path\"New Folder\Save2
Compare the two files.
Edit c:\Path\"New Folder"\save1 c:\Path\"New Folder"\save2
Alt +1-9 switches between files.
Alt +F X - to exit.
Start >shutdown (hold down the Shift Key).
Back in business.
