sys config utility message!

When I open my "sys config utility" I get the following message:
! Unable to synchronize the envirnoment variables in the Windows Registry with the environment variables in the legacy files AUTOEXEC.BAT and/or CONFIG.SYS.
Is this a problem I should worry about? and is their a fix for this and just what is this message telling me in "layman " terms?
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have a look at
Environment Variables Error When Starting MSConfig (Q264380). Seems like this is considered normal...Mike
