The screen on my notebook has lost tension and will not stand up by itself. It is free swinging. How can I regain tension.

Cover

Look between the screen and the unit. At the bend find the hinges; look for a snap-on piece of plastic or Phillips head screws. Once the cover over the hinges is removed their will most likely be two small self locking nut bolt assemblies on each hinge, 4 or 5 mm. tightening these turn so should bring the stiffness back. Do not overtorque.

Still can't get it

I was able to remove the two outside plastic covers and discovered two (not phillips) screws under each cover. The screws appear to be phillips but not quite. They are in pairs, two on each side but torqueing all four did nothing for my screen. There is a center plastic cover, three times the size of the end caps but it doesn't seem to be removeable. It seems to be attached to the base cover.
