Volume Control issues

ive had an HP pavilion PC for almost two years now. Well I recently got a DSL line and the tech did some tweaking to my system. Honesly, it runs faster and smoother than ever, with the exception of the sound system. See my volume control is located on the keyboard. Well ever since the system was tweaked, the volume control hasnt worked. He somehow disabled it. Any ideas on how to re-enable it? Thanks!!

Have you checked your Volume properties? Right click the speaker icon in bottom right corner and double check. No settings 'Muted' or volume turned down low?

Does HP include a utility for those extra buttons and have you checked their configuration? (Sorry, I haven't dealt with Pavillions for a bit).

Did you get it fixed? I had A Compaq that had the up and down volume buttons on the keyboard. I had to go into Compaqs settings to enable/disable. Marturo
