I have AOL and I cannot get into any secure sites with my browser. the page will not display. HOw do I look up what version explorer i have. And what settings do i need to make so i can get into these secure sites.

First, open Internet Explorer and select Help/About Internet Explorer. A splash screen will pop up with your Version: 5.50.4134 or somthing like that. Listed just below that will be the Cipher Strength: 128-bit.
IF 128-bit is not your Cipher Strength, (40, 56-bit) you'll have to update this. There will be a link to the left (Update Information), click on this and you'll be whisked off to Microsoft where all your troubles will be solved.........

Note: What OS are you using? If you are using IE 5.0 or older you may want to upgrade to IE 6.0 first. I believe 6.0 has 128 bit encryption as a default. Good luck!
