Medi Player Nags
Lately, when I click on a media file on a web page (say a news story at CNN), a box pops up asking me if I want to run the file or download it. I unchecked the box marked 'Ask me this every bloody time I click on something' but it keeps appearing.
I'm running Windows ME and IE 5.50.4134.0100 (according to the Help/About box)

First off go get IE 6.0. You are open to all kinds of scripting errors, Java attacks Active X etc. it’s been so long since I was really into IE 5.x I can’t remember how to change that.
But IE 6.0 will take care of you. Really, you are a victim waiting to happen. Not that IE 6.0 is %100 safe but a lot more so than 5.x. IE 6.0 gives you much more control of the general settings and daily operations. Like all Windoze products Media Player and IE 6.x are tied together. That’s what Bill calls Job Security…

Thanks Mike. I figured the answer would be to upgrade--always is isn't it ? ;-)
I have been reluctant to do so because the last time I did, I couldn't get into my bank accounts--the Royal Bank of Canada doesn't believe in upgrading as much as I do :-)
