Desk Top Icons Blink!!

Re Win 98: When I pass my arrow over my deck top icins, they all blink as I move the arrow over each one. What could be the problem?. This just started 3 days ago. I am a novice and don't know what settings to check, if in fact that would even help. Are there any suggestions?. Thank you in advance!!

What brand of computer? I had an IBM that did that, and there was a way to switch it off. It came with a desktop customization program that had this option.

Trinitro: Thanks for your reply. The computor is HP6640C,Processor:AMDK6-2/500MHz. Memory: 64MB SDRAM W/8MB video memory,Hard Drive: 15.0GB Ultra DMA. Does this help?

missing drives

OK GUYS I HAVE SERIOUS PROBS.I HAVE RECENTLY INSTALLED MCAFEE VIRUS 6.0.WITHIN THE LAST 2 WEKKS I HAVE 4DLLS.MISSING.I HAVE LOST MY A AND E DRIVE.JUST BOUGHT A NEW CD-ROM TODAY AND IT''LL RUN BUT THATS IT.IT WON'T READ.OR WHEN YOU PUT IN A DISK OR CD BOTH DRIVES WILL SAY. THE A DRIVE WILL SAY:THE DEVICE IS NOT READY.WHEN YOU PUT IN CD IT'LL SAY>THE SYSTEM CANNOT FIND IT'S SPECIFIED PATH. BOY WOULD I BE SO HAPPY TO JUST REFORMAT AND INSTALL WINDOWS98 AGAIN BUT I CAN'T CAUSE NEITHER ONE OF THESE DRIVES WILL WORK.NOW WHAT DO I DO,I;M STUCK AND HAVE RAN OUT OF OPTIONS.ALSO SOMETHING HAS TOOK MY DEVICE MANAGER AND SYSTEM IN MY CONTROL PANEL AND NOW I CAN;T FIND THESE EITHER.I'VE RAN VIRUSCAN AND I HAVE NO VIRUSES.I'M NO COMPUTER WHIZ SO IF YOU GIVE ME ADVICE PLEASE MAKE IT SO I CAN UNDERSTAND.THANKS AND HELP GUYS.Read More

The result of which will be a load of spam. I checked and sure enough, they had changed ALL of my *No's* to *Yes!* So, I've just been in and changed back what they've done so that I won't be receiving their ads! Here's what you need to do: Go to My Yahoo and click on Account Inf, from the drop down menu and verify your password if it asks you to, and your Yahoo ID card comes up.
