mouse problems

hi,
i have a ? about my mouse. I just bought a logitech cordless mouse. 3 weeks old. what is happening the cursor gets stuck alot. it jumps all over the place. do you think it is mouse related or my pc. i reboot and its ok for a while. would this be an indication that the batteries are going already. thanks for the input

Go to Logitech site and check for newest drivers. Do you have a bed scanner running? 98 sometimes has a problem with the pwr saver for the scanner. How much memory do you run? When was the last time you defraged and scan disk? Do you have enough buss speed to run an infra red device? When the problem occurs, how much system resource do you have? lots of questions huh? 
I use Logitech exclusivley. Good stuff but can be finicky...
