Zones

On the right hand side, just above the taskbar, I get statements: Internet, Unknown Zone, Unknown Zone (mixed). Is this telling me something I need to be aware of?

The Zones coincide with the <security settings> in MSIE 4.xx +. It advises you that you may be in a site that could cause your computer to fail. Maybe you don't/can't run Java etc. This can be set in IE at <tools> <internet options> <security>. I do advise if you have the system to run it to get IE 5.5. I think you will be pleased with it. But it, like all MS explorers is resource hungry.
