This has me wondering:
Every screen on the monitor is OK. BUT on startup the windows screen does not cover monitor like it is supposed to.

Niether does mine, or atleast it doesn't after I redid my video settings to 1024x768. In fact its not even centered. I think the splash screen is 640x480 and is no biggie. If you have picture controls and can pause the splash screen you could use the monitor controls to in large and center the screen. Or you could reformat the splash screen, but why worry. I forget where the splash screen is stored, but can get it if you want.

As Windoze boots up the first screen is 320 x 320 or some such. Then as it comes to life the card starts to kick in higher processor functions etc. until you are at your 800 x 600, 75 Hz etc
