Ok, got another one thats really starting to bug me.

Can you set the default user at startup? if so where?



never had to problem till I started up the home network.

The control you're looking for is in the control panel under user accounts. On one of the tabs should be a button for changing the way users log in. However, depending on the network structure and client you have set up this may not be an option. If you have an active directory or third party networking software you have to log in the hard way for "security" reason. I believe this is what Microsoft calls a feature. If you're just using basic shared folders and printers, though, you should be able to go back to having a default log on.
