HEY GUYS. MY BROTHER HAS A MONITOR AND IT WON'T COME ON.HE SAYS THAT THE POWER LIGHT STAYS YELLOW. HE HAS SWITCHED MONITORS JUST TO SEE IF IT WAS THE MONITOR AND SAME THING. IS THIS HIS VIDEO CARD?? IF NOT WHATELSE COULD IT BE?? THANKS FOR ANYONES HELP.

Yes, the video card has most likely died. The yellow light indicates that the monitor is not receiving a signal.

Hey , Smokey;
Can't other cards cause it to happen also ? It happened to me several months ago and wasn't the video card. I don't recall which it was though. Volt helped me out on that one.

Cool Card

Check to make sure the video card is fully seated. But I agree the card has most likely died. How old is the puter? OS? Memory? Mainboard? PCI or AGP slots? If it’s an old slow puter you should probably look for a 4 to 8 meg PCI/ISA/AGP card for around $40 or so.
