script error

hey,
i have an IBM computer running win 95 and whenever i connect to the internet or goto different sites, a message box pops up saying the following:

Internet Explorer Script Error
an error has just occurred in the script on this page.
Do you want to continue running scripts?

If i click yes, no, or X out, it will work properly for a short period of time, but it keeps popping up

Any ideas?
thanks

See your browser settings: disable script debugging

you may also consider upgrading to the latest version of MSIE and definitely apply all the latest service packs/updates available for the version of MSIE that you currently have installed. scripting errors generally are the fault of either incompatibilites with some specific version/components that come along with MSIE, or just simply bad code written on the web pages themselves. if you're experiencing the scripting errors often and on multiple different web sites, it's likely some conflict on your end.

Partly right. It's due to badly written web page code. Script debugging, as the previous poster said should be tuned off. Then no more error reports.
Dont worry about your IE patch/SP level etc. Its just the debugger on/off setting.
