how to edit .mp3 file content

I would like to make a collage of .mp3 files with chuncks of songs. How can I edit a .mp3 file to extract just a portion from the middle of the song/file?

Convert it to wav format, and edit it through a wav editor. Once you have what you want covert it back to mp3 format

Download Nero burning software. It has a very comprehensive wav editor built in. www.nero.com I have only toyed with the wav editor but it seems very nice. Almost Hippie proof…

Internet Audio Mixer...awesome I use it all the time. You throw your MP3s onto a table (up to as many that you want on there) and you can crop, change pitch, volume, rate, etc... very nice I recommend it....
