Desktop Icons

Hi, I've asked this question maybe here, and in other forums and can't get the answer I'm looking for!
When I send a shortcut from let's say Yahoo, or some other site to my desktop, it puts a internet explorer icon {blue E} in a white page, instead of the big Red "Y". Can anyone explain why that happens, and what can you do to change it? Step by Step please.
Thanks, Jay

Its the program icon your seeing, not the shortcut icon you will see in favorites. If you used netscape you would see a netscape short cut there. You can change the icon manualy by right clicking on the icon and going to properties, then selecting change icon. If you want more then whats there (15 or so) you will need to create it, or download more. You can create them with paintshop, just open an existing one and modify if. Or change the name.
