Steps to reformat hard drive

Could someone please post the steps to reformat my hard drive? I am running Windows ME if that matters.

Thanks,
Gina

If this is just a simple reinstall then all you need is a system boot disk (see the help files). When you get the A:\ prompt type Format C:\ when that is done type D:\winme\setup.exe (or what ever drive letter you CD-ROM is using.)

If this is a HP or Compaq follow the instruction on the system restore disk to the letter.

For a complete and total wipe out you will need to use fdisk. That topic has been covered quite a bit so you can probably get all the info you need by searching the archive for fdisk.
