Angry Weatherman got me!!!

The weatherman was wrong as usual. They said no rain!!!
I stained my deck last nite with silkens and of course, it rained 8 hours later. Will I have any problems because of this?? Will I have to restain?? I hoping that I won't and that it will probably just take a little longer to dry.

Sopman,

Exactly which Sikkens product did you use.

Most of the oil based products do not present a problem if the stain was on/absobed for about four to six hours before a rain.

It was oil base. Is there something else on the label you are looking for?? Without calling home I can tell you that it was "Light Natural".

Sopman,

Most oil base stains are dry on the head end by the time you finish on the tail end of the job.
You should be oay.

Sopman, I had the same thing happen to me when I was staining my deck except the rain came much quicker. I used a different brand stain but an oil base and I really was worried but it seems to be okay though, looks great and repelling water so far as should. You can see the results at http://community.webshots.com/user/llewopd if you would like to check.
