I'm laying my decking down, which is pressure treated, and many of the good sides have a black stamp describing the wood. The wood is red and when I try to sand the stamps down, the wood lightens. Even if I sand those stamps off, will the wood eventually become the same color anyway? Thanks.

The stamp side goes down. If you have a bad side, just take the board back. In many cases we have found the stamp to be close to the end, in which case, we just cut off past the stamp and use the board. You have a little waste, but not much. If you sand the mark, you will have a blemish in your deck at the sanding spot.
