I am getting ready to install my ledger boards. Our house exterior is brick. Any helpful tips on drilling the holes. I will be using a 5/4" masonry bit.

Cool

5/4? Try to drill into the mortar instead of brick, if you can. The lead plug will hold just as well. Good Luck!

As Old Guy said, drill in the mortar joints. Remember, brick is just a facade. There is a one inch space behind it. Ensure you lag the ledger into the rim joist, not just the brick
