Ceiling Fan for Screened-In Porch
Hi -
We recently had a screened-in porch built, and we would like to install a ceiling fan with lights. The contractor said we would need a unit suitable for exterior use. Is this overkill, or do we really need one? The porch is a standard stick-build room with a shingled roof (open rafters inside), floor-to-ceiling screens.
Thanks - Dave

Hi -
Thanks for the response. We ended up with a fan with light rated for exterior use. I think the company name is Hampton Bay, which is the same brand as all the other ceiling fans in our home.
