Question adding a covered porch to a double wide home

I want to add a 12x54 front porch/deck to my double wide,
which is 28x80. It also will have a roof to match the shingles
on the double wide.
The porch itself will be self supporting , not attatched to the house.
Question do I , can I attatch the roof to the double wide, and
how should I do , even with the house roof, just above the roof so I can blend the two roof's together, or should I place it just below the house's roof. and is it ok to attatch the porch roof to the house?????

please help!!!!!

First, check with the state agency in LA that controls mobile homes, or manufactured housing. They will tell you whether you can attach the porch cover (roof) to the home or not. (In CA, I can't.)

Why a shingled roof? You are going to have to replace it at some point in the future, and can you get enough slope on the roof to prevent problems (3/12 min.)?

I would look into an aluminum cover -- either V-pan or flat pan -- as an alternative. Freestanding and simply use flashing to make the joint between the cover and the home water tight.
