I am planning on building a storage shed of about 20' x 12' with the flooring supported on cement pilings. I need to know what I should do to support the pillings be;ow ground level.

6" of gravel should be sufficient. If you are using the cardboard tubes to form the pilings, they should be dug twice as deep as the diameter of the tube. e.g. 6" tube diameter needs 1' deep + the 6" for the gravel, therefore dig 1 1/2' deep.
