"Underdeck" products

We are drawing the plans and materials list for our new cedar deck and tiled floor screen porch that will be beneath it, and I have been reading a lot about the different "underdeck" waterproofing products that go between the joists and the decking. Anyone used these? They sound great, but at 3.50 a sf i was wondering if there wasa less expensive yet suitable alternative. Any help appreciated. We're in Maryland.

BGC,

I have included some links but you may ahve already looked at them, if not take a glance.

I have used them on my projects. This one is great and easy,

This is a view of one finished project using Dryspace,

Here is a link to how to install,

There are others like

True, the cost may seem like alot but in the ease of installation and overall performance with no worries, they are cost effective and work very well. It sure allows you to use that space below during rainy weather!

Good Luck!
