Cost of building a 12x16 Deck in NJ
Can anyone please give me an idea as to what a 12 x 16 Deck would cost (mat+labor). I am planning to use pressure treated pine as lumber and will be 4' above ground.
I am being driven nuts by contractors giving all sorts of varied estimates.
I want to know a realistic average price/sq ft. of such a project.
I live in central NJ.

To many variables to easily give an estimate. Will it have a roof, what kind of railings, number of stairways, 5/4 or 2x6 decking, lattice skirting, etc. Also depends on the building codes in the area you live in.

I am in the same process. I went to the Lowe's (Pro Desk). Gave them all the specs and they give me the price of all the material with delivery. In this way you atleast know the exact price of the material.
