Lowering deck/rebuilding deck on ground
I have an 20' above ground pool with a very nice wood deck around half of it. I am removing the pool and would like to reuse the lumber to build a deck right off my back door, only about 6" off the ground, and the railing to fence off my vegetable garden to keep my dog out. Any tips or advice on how to do this? We are planning on tearing down the deck and stacking the lumber in the garage for now while we tear down the pool, then just building a new deck with the supplies. If there is any better way to go about this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Take a look at www.deckplans.com
As far as reusing the materials, it will depend on what the material is. Anything that close to the ground should be Pressure Treated Lumber to prevent rot.
