Hello all. I'm looking to build a small shade over my pool pump/filter so it isn't scorching to the touch and to protect the equipment from the sun. It won't be anything fancy, it will be supported on 3 corners by bolts in the walls and an abs tube on the 4th. I'd guess the size to be 4ft. by 4ft. What kind of material would you recommend for this? Someone told me to use mdf, but when I went to home depot, the info. on it made it sound like it was exclusively for indoor applications. I found something else called Lexan XL, but it was pricey, and looked like it was for sealing windows. I'd like to find something that does well in the scottsdale sun and occasional rain, but it doesn't have to look fancy at all. Thanks.
