Carriage bolt removal

Hello:

Does anybody have any hints as to how to remove carriage bolts in older wood where the holes have deteriorated to the point where the heads just rotate when trying to turn the nut? The bolt heads have no slot or any other gripping surface. Thank you in advance.

Get an right angle hand held grinder with a cutting disc, and cut the nuts off. Then punch the rest of the bolt out.

Those things work so great, they'll cut through a 1/2" bolt in seconds.

I like to turn the bolt heads into flat-head screw tops with a cutting disk
Hold the tops with my big flat-head screwdriver and loosen the nut
