Cross/Sway Beams?

Cross/Sway Beams?
Hello all, this is my first post on the forum, thanks for having me.
My wife and I just bought a townhouse that has a walk down deck. The deck is rather unstable and someone suggested using cross or sway beams to reinforce it. I've tried looking up the how-to on this project but I'm not having any luck. I assume it's an "X" design. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

chadmcpd,
Welcome to DoItYourself.com and the Deck forum.
Tell me what you mean when you say "a walk down deck".
Wobbly, I understand. Cross brace the posts under the deck. Parallel to the house as well as perpendicular to the house. That will cure the wobble.
"Cross brace" is just that -- from the bottom of one post to the top of the next with a 1X4 or 2X4. And if you can span 2 or 3 posts, that's all the better.
