restoring lusture to pavers
Painting will mean you have a continuing maintenance problem.
You did not say whether you have concrete pavers or clay btick pavers.
If they are concrete, wash the pavers with a water and brush and allow to dry. You can buy a clear paver coating from better paver suppliers. You can get a glaze (personally looks artificial) or a flat finish. It brings out the colors.
If you have a Pavestone or Oldcastle paver producer near you, contact them. I believe a company called Pave Tech(?) handles a clear sealer also.

Pressure wash, dry throughly and apply a surface sealer for rich color and a wet look for concrete pavers. For brick (clay) pavers, just scrub them down well with a brush and TSP.
