Red face Dovetail on fascia deck boards corners with Trex?

I am current replacing deck boards on a two level deck from cedar (someone painted the cedar and it rotted) to Trex and will be installing a 12"x1" fascia and a 8"x1" fasia boards. I have two 90 degree joints to put togther. I have seen butt joints, 45 degree joints and was wondering if anyone has tried a through dovetail joint. I think it may look very nice, but I am wondering if I am going to have any problem with expansion.

Thank you in advance,

With a 12" wide board, you may have problems anyway. I like to use the biscuit system with wider boards, and 45 degree angles on the ends of the boards to hide the end grain. A through dovetail may take too much material off in critical points and pop off the mail pins.
