I am in the process of completing the structural buildup of my deck (550sq ft) and have yet to decide what type of fastener to use for Trex. I can't see spending over a $1000 on a hidden fastener system but really like the neatness of it. I have looked at the ebty type of systems and would rather keep with a more solid method. I am considering either Trap Ease (which should eliminate any mushrooming) or Stainless trim head which I have been told leaves a little dimple that can easily fixed with a small hammer blow and actually is almost invisible. I would greatly appreciate any input if anyone out there has any ideas or opinions/reviews of these or other fastener systems.

We bought a house with an old concrete patio (too large to destroy). Some of the joints, especially next to the house (all brick) have become quite large. There are even small trees and bushes growing in some places. Question: How do I clean up these joints and then seal them to prevent plant growth and moisture damage?
