Sticking Anderson Patio Door

I have an Anderson Door (vinyl clad glider) that has suddenly begun sticking. It seems to get worse about 4 inches after opening, and then loosens up again at the last 4 inches.

Any suggestions?

It could be that the rollers just need to be adjusted upwards a bit, in the case that it's dragging somewhere. I think most Andersen's have 2 slotted screwdriver heads that you can turn to raise/lower the panel. Try adjusting the rollers upwards. Then check to make sure it is still lined up with the jamb when you close it. (close the door until it is 1/4" from going shut, and make sure that the gap along the latch side is straight from top to bottom. If the gap is wider on top than it is on bottom, you need to raise the roller farthest to the latch. If the gap is wider on the bottom than it is on the top, then you need to raise the roller closest to the latch.

If that doesn't help, most Andersen gliding doors have a removable stop on the top, interior side of the door jamb. If you remove the screws from that stop and remove it, the sliding panel will tip into the home where you can then lift it off of its track. Lay the door on its side and inspect the rollers to see if they turn freely. Inspect the track to see if it is clean. There might be a rock jammed under it, or one of the rollers might be seized.
