25 year old deck

The wood is in excellent shape but the problem is its been painted about every 2 years. I want to paint again but I'm tired of all the maintenance. Do you have a product you recommend as a primer to use before I paint it. I have got it scraped and just about ready for painting.
Thank you

Stain works better on decks than paint does but to use a solid stain you would need about 90% of the paint removed.

Generally better quality coatings will last longer than their cheaper counterpart. Oil base paints hold up better to foot traffic but latex usually withstands the elements better. Go to your local paint store [not dept] for the best coatings and local advice.
