Deck Questions
I live in NJ and going to build a deck to my above ground pool. Can I build the deck above the pool top rail or does it have to be under the rail? Can the newer (chemicals) pressure treated 4x4 be cemented into the ground or do you have to pour footers?

I would not build a deck without a concrete footing or base like a Sonotube. Especially if I was concerned about maintaining a consistant elevation. Use a Sonotube to the code required depth and attach a post with a Simpson connector. Make sure you have something to provide lateral stability.
