Cloudy Finish

Have A 10yr Old Cedar Deck. Had It Sanded To Bare Wood Last Summer. Applied Cabot Natural Oil Base Stain . After 1 Month Started To Cloud In Certain Spots. Now Its Clody All Over The Place. Any Body Know What Is Causing The Clody , Milky Finish.

I Cant Wash It Off, Pressure Washer Wont Cut It , Unless I Go Into The Wood.

I Tried Some Fine Steel Wool And A Lot Of Elbow Grease, That Seemed To Take It Off . It Is Like Oxidation Or Something On The Surface Of The Stain.

Any Info Would Help . Do Know If I Should Resand To Bare Wood Or If There Is A Easier Way To Remove It.

Was wood dry enough before application? Cabot's recommends: "Moisture content must be below 15%, or wood must be exposed to dry weather a minimum of 3 to 5 days." Morning dew must dry off before beginning & no recent rain.

One coat is recommended. If you applied more, did you allow for adequate drying time.
