Flower box brackets for my deck

Hello. I would like to mount some flower boxes on my deck. The only problem is that my rails are not the standard 2x4. They only measure 3 inches. They are the type of rails that the fancy pickets are seated and screwed in a track. From what i see on the computer you can only buy brackets that fit 2x4 rails. I need one to fit a 3 inch rail. Does anyone have this problem? I don't want the flower boxes on top of the rails nor do i want to mount them to the pickets. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Buy the 4" brackets and install a piece of 5/4 pressure treated along your top rail to fill the space from front to back, making up the additional inch needed. You may have to do the same thing where the bracket touches the balusters in order to keep it level.
